Appointments Personnel Win Prestigious Award
Appointments Personnel have been announced the winners of the prestigious ‘Impact on the Borough’ category of the 2011 Business Boost awards at a ceremony held at Newcastle College. The Business Boost Competition is an annual business competition in Newcastle-under-Lyme, which aims to inspire small and medium size businesses to grow and prosper. Through participation, businesses are encouraged to develop entrepreneurship and strategic thinking to help drive their business forward. Open to any Newcastle firm with fewer than 250 employees, the competition is funded by organisations including Newcastle Borough Council, Aspire Housing and Keele University Science and Business Park. Fighting off stiff competition from other local businesses, Appointments finally walked away with the much coveted award for after impressing the judging panel with their current services and future plans to improve recruitment in the borough. Awards chairman Bernard Lovatt said: "The Business Boost competition helps and rewards businesses that are innovative and have ambition to grow and so increase the economic and social well-being of the borough. "Since their inception in 2007, the awards have helped more than 40 local companies drive their business forward and most continue to be successful." The unique awards are presented to businesses that are able to demonstrate drive and ambition based on sound business planning.
