Professional Standards
Recruitment & Employment Confederation
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is the professional body for both recruitment businesses and individual recruitment consultants. The REC has a strict entrance and membership criteria. Members adhere to the REC Code of Professional Practice, and work seekers and clients can expect the highest standards of professional service.
A copy of the Code is available on written request or from the REC's website www.rec.uk.com/employer. Not only does Appointments Personnel meet the standard set by the Code, but in many areas we exceed them.
There are numerous advantages of using an REC Member. The REC:
• Rigorously check each of the members to ensure that they comply with the Code of Professional Practice, operate ethically, professionally and to the highest standards;
• Brief members on the most current legislation ensuring that we always abide by the law - no matter how recently it has been updated;
• Conduct a face-to-face interview before introducing a candidate - if this has not been possible the client will be informed.
As a member of the REC, we as a company commit to the REC Code of Professional Practice and are therefore subject to disciplinary procedures. Clients are therefore offered the piece of mind that comes with using an REC member.
• Only current REC members are allowed to use the REC logo on their advertising and stationery, which demonstrates our adherence to the highest of standards;
• All Appointments Personnel consultants take advantage of any possible learning opportunities, ensuring that they can offer services of the highest quality. Our consultants also attend the REC's Employment Legislation course and undergo a structured induction training programme.
Many of our consultants have industry specific professional qualifications such as "The Foundation Vocational Award in Employment Agency Practice" or "The Certificate in Recruitment Practice."
