ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT 

Salary:  £21k to £23k

Location:  Stoke on Trent

Job Type:  Permanent

Monday to Friday

Our well established client based in Stoke on Trent are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their successful Accounts and Finance Team.  Our client is extremely successful and they have had strong organic growth over the last 6 years.  Their business model and culture remains a clear differentiator from many other businesses like themselves.  

As an Accounts Assistant, your key duties will include: 

• Processing numerous financial transactions
• Posting payments/receipts and transfers in a timely and accurate manner
• Setting up Cheques, BACS and TT payments
• Allocating funds received into the bank Account
• Use of online banking for electronic payments
• Ensuring that all client account payments are compliant with company policy
• Dealing with fee earner queries and helping to resolve issues

As an Accounts Assistant, you will ideally possess the following essential skills and attributes: 

• Experience of working in an office and/or accounts team desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Education to GCSE with good numerical skills
• Team player
• Demonstrate Microsoft/Excel skills
• Attention to detail
• Eager to learn
• Good organisational/time management skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a busy, fast paced team
• Able to build good working relationships
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
