Account Manager – New Business

Paramount Steel Fence has been manufacturing and supplying high-quality steel security fencing, gates, and access solutions for over 30 years. With a strong reputation across commercial, industrial, and public sector markets, they are now looking for a motivated and personable Account Manager – New Business to join their team.
This is a varied sales role where you'll be developing new business alongside managing and growing relationships with existing and dormant accounts. You'll be well supported by an experienced internal team and have a strong, established product range behind you — so you won't be starting from scratch.
What you'll be doing
- Proactively identifying and approaching new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and construction markets
- Re-engaging dormant accounts and growing relationships within the existing customer base
- Managing the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to quotation and close
- Building strong, lasting relationships
- Working alongside the internal estimating team to prepare and issue accurate and competitive quotations
- Handling incoming enquiries from new and existing customers efficiently and professionally
- Conducting outbound calls to prospective clients to generate leads and develop your pipeline
- Maintaining and developing your own customer database using internal systems
- Managing your own pipeline and activity using the internal CRM system
- Working towards individual targets and collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
What we're looking for
- Experience in B2B sales, ideally in a proactive or outward-facing capacity
- A confident, personable communicator who enjoys building relationships
- Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage your own workload
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or a trade-related sector is a bonus but not essential
- Resilient and commercially minded with a genuine drive to hit targets
- A full UK driving licence is advantageous
