Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday - Hybrid working 

What you'll be doing:

As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll be involved in a varied range of finance tasks, including:

• Preparing accounts up to trial balance with relevant adjustments
• Compiling management reports and performing balance sheet reviews
• Completing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time
• Supporting financial planning through cash flow and budget preparation
• Processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and assisting with payments
• Following up with customers to manage outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments
• Posting bank transactions and handling reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
• Communicating with clients to obtain necessary information and resolve queries efficiently

What we're looking for:

We’re keen to hear from candidates who:

• Have at least 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Are working towards (or have completed) an AAT, CIMA, or ACCA qualification
• Have solid bookkeeping knowledge, particularly double-entry
• Are comfortable using accounting software (experience with Sage, QuickBooks, Xero is a plus)
• Possess strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail
• Communicate clearly and professionally
