The Role – Assistant Accountant

As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance function across multiple entities, playing a key role in day-to-day and month-end accounting activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing reconciliations across multiple accounts and ledgers
• Processing import loans in line with agreed service levels
• Managing the Amazon customer ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
• Supporting cashflow forecasting and financial reporting
• Assisting with month-end processes and postings to meet deadlines
• Taking ownership of accounts for smaller entities, including:
• Bank reconciliations
• Stocktake record management
• Preparing and submitting small VAT returns

This is a varied Assistant Accountant role offering excellent exposure across the finance function.

About You – Assistant Accountant

To be successful in this Assistant Accountant role, you will ideally have:

• Experience in an accounting or finance role (essential)
• Currently studying towards or already completed an AAT qualification (essential)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• A good working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
• Confidence working independently as well as part of a team
• Experience with intercompany transactions (highly desirable)
