The Role – Assistant Accountant
As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance function across multiple entities, playing a key role in day-to-day and month-end accounting activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing reconciliations across multiple accounts and ledgers
- Processing import loans in line with agreed service levels
- Managing the Amazon customer ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
- Supporting cashflow forecasting and financial reporting
- Assisting with month-end processes and postings to meet deadlines
- Taking ownership of accounts for smaller entities, including:
- Bank reconciliations
- Stocktake record management
- Preparing and submitting small VAT returns
This is a varied Assistant Accountant role offering excellent exposure across the finance function.
About You – Assistant Accountant
To be successful in this Assistant Accountant role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in an accounting or finance role (essential)
- Currently studying towards or already completed an AAT qualification (essential)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- A good working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
- Confidence working independently as well as part of a team
- Experience with intercompany transactions (highly desirable)
