Are you an experienced Buyer or Production Planner looking for your next challenge within a busy manufacturing environment?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing company where you’ll play a key role in managing materials, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring on-time delivery across the business.

The Role:

As a Buyer/Planner, you will take ownership of the purchasing and planning process — from sourcing materials and negotiating with suppliers to scheduling production runs and managing stock levels. You’ll work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and help drive efficiency, cost control, and excellent supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies in line with production needs.

  • Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer deadlines.

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and value.

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate reorders to maintain optimal inventory.

  • Liaise with production and operations teams to resolve material or scheduling issues.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across purchasing and planning.

  • Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems and provide reporting to management.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Buyer, Planner, or in a similar supply chain role within manufacturing or engineering.

  • Confident negotiator with good commercial awareness.

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Experienced in working with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary of £35,000 per annum

  • Full-time, permanent position (8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday)

  • A supportive, collaborative working environment

  • Real opportunities to develop and make an impact within a growing business

If you’re looking for a role that combines purchasing and production planning, offering autonomy and variety day-to-day, we’d love to hear from you.
