We have an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented Commercial Administrator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Stoke-on-Trent. As a Commercial Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting commercial and operational activities, ensuring customer orders, business systems and administration processes are managed efficiently. Key Responsibilities
As the Commercial Administrator, you will:
- Process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare order acknowledgements and support customer communications.
- Update and maintain customer records, enquiries and opportunities within CRM systems.
- Manage sales order administration using Sage 200.
- Ensure business systems and records remain accurate and up to date.
- Arrange UK and international courier shipments.
- Prepare shipping documentation and assist with basic import and export paperwork.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, couriers and internal departments to resolve delivery queries.
- Provide administrative support across commercial, service and operational functions.
- Assist with purchasing administration, supplier communications and document control.
- Maintain organised filing systems and business documentation.
- Support continuous improvements by helping to streamline administrative processes.
About You
To be successful in this Commercial Administrator role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within an administration or commercial support position.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
- Confidence using business systems and databases.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and proactive approach.
- A flexible, reliable and team-focused attitude.
It would be beneficial if you also have experience with Sage 200, Salesforce CRM, sales order processing, courier booking systems, import/export administration or have worked within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment, although this isn't essential.
