Are you a creative Content Specialist with a flair for copywriting and PR? Appointments Personnel is recruiting for a Content Specialist in Woore, Cheshire to join the marketing team at a market-leading pumping equipment business. If you enjoy writing press releases, social media content, case studies and e-shots, and you have an eye for SEO and detail, this role offers real variety and a clear route to progress.

The Role
As Content Specialist, you’ll support every part of the marketing strategy, from developing ideas to seeing them through. Your focus will be creating content for press releases, social media, case studies, e-shots and company literature, while building good relationships with national press and media. You’ll work closely with the marketing team and colleagues across the business, and report to the directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Create content for press releases, social media, case studies, e-shots and company literature.
• Build good communications with national press and media, and produce the media schedule.
• Carry out copywriting, proofreading and PR initiatives.
• Produce marketing materials, including advertising materials and e-shots.
• Maintain a content planner with regular updates.
• Research markets, products, competition and customers.
• Negotiate advertising costs within budget to secure the most suitable advertising space.
• Assist with exhibition organisation and preparation, and liaise with other departments.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Content Specialist role, you’ll ideally have:

• Experience in a similar content, marketing or PR role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong creative copywriting ability.
• An understanding of business tone and voice within content.
• An understanding of InDesign and Adobe Acrobat, and confidence with a range of software packages.
• The ability to multi-task, prioritise your own workload and work to deadlines.
• Desirable: experience working to SEO guidelines, an understanding of KPIs, market research skills, a marketing qualification and knowledge of the industry or related industries.

You’ll be self-motivated with a “can do” attitude, a team player, and happy to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary of up to £29,000 per year.
• Permanent, full-time position.
• 30 days’ holiday (including statutory), rising to 34 days after one year’s service from the next calendar year.
• Auto-enrolment pension. You start with a 5% employee contribution, and after 3 years’ service the company will fund it.

Working Hours and Location

• Full-time and office-based in Woore, Cheshire.
• Working hours: 40 hours a week (Between 8am and 6pm)
• Please note: the location is not on a bus route, so you’ll need your own transport.
