You'll be working on a variety of custom material handling solutions, liaising directly with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality designs tailored to specific needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers to understand specifications and develop tailored solutions
- Lead the design process for bespoke equipment using 3D CAD software
- Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Manage projects from concept through to final delivery
- Produce technical documentation, including detailed drawings and specifications
- Collaborate across departments to ensure project goals and deadlines are met
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a design engineering role (ideally within material handling or similar)
- Skilled in using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer collaboration
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Creative and confident in developing bespoke engineering solutions
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
