We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Estimating Engineer to join our growing team. This is a key role, supporting the sales team with technical enquiries, providing accurate cost estimates for bespoke solutions, and working directly with clients to develop custom specifications. You’ll use your engineering knowledge to deliver precise quotations and technical designs that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the sales team with technical enquiries, providing clear and accurate advice.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for bespoke and standard products, covering materials, labour, and production costs.

• Work directly with clients to understand their requirements and create tailored specifications.

• Use CAD software to produce accurate drawings for bespoke and standard designs.

• Maintain Item master data, Bills of Materials, and routings within ERP systems.

• Assist with departmental tasks including rework orders, engineering change requests, and document control.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure cost-effective, feasible designs.

• Manage technical discussions with clients and the sales team on complex specifications.

• Maintain and update technical data in ERP systems for accurate costing and specification management.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, product enhancements, and cost savings.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical principles, fluid storage, and design.

• Experience in cost estimating, technical sales support, or engineering design.

• Excellent communication skills for both client-facing and internal collaboration.

• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar).

• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills.
