Expeditor

We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Expeditor to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer orders progress efficiently from quotation through to delivery.

Working closely with internal departments and customers, you will coordinate activities, manage timelines, resolve issues, and provide regular updates to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful on-time delivery of orders.

Key Responsibilities

Order & Project Coordination

  • Manage customer orders from quotation through to delivery
  • Monitor progress against key milestones and delivery schedules
  • Identify and proactively address potential delays
  • Coordinate activities between sales, engineering, production, and logistics teams

Customer Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer order updates
  • Provide regular communication regarding project timelines and deliveries
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the order lifecycle

Internal Liaison & Administration

  • Work closely with production teams to support on-time delivery
  • Liaise with engineering departments regarding product specifications and requirements
  • Support logistics planning and shipment coordination
  • Maintain accurate customer and order records within CRM and ERP systems
  • Produce reports and communicate progress to key stakeholders
  • Assist with quotations, documentation, and order administration

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in an Expeditor, Order Coordinator, Sales Support, Customer Service, or Production Planning role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience using CRM or ERP systems

The following would be advantageous:

  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Knowledge of production planning, supply chain, or logistics processes
  • Understanding of export or international sales procedures
  • Experience supporting technical or engineered products
