Finance Analyst

Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insight? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset to step into a Finance Analyst position within a well-established manufacturing business.

This role would suit someone with experience in a fast-paced finance or commercial environment who enjoys partnering with operational teams, influencing decisions, and driving business performance.

A little bit about the role:

  • Produce weekly and monthly financial reports across commercial and operational areas.
  • Analyse costs, variances, profitability, and performance trends to support decision-making.
  • Provide pricing analysis and financial modelling to support commercial activity.
  • Work closely with production teams to understand labour, material, and efficiency performance.
  • Support month-end reporting including P&L analysis and commentary.
  • Assist with quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting processes.
  • Monitor inventory performance, stock movements, and stock accuracy.
  • Support capital expenditure reporting, approvals, and spend control.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Help improve financial controls, reporting processes, and system accuracy.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Management Accounts, or commercial finance role.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and interpreting financial information.
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and modelling.
  • Able to communicate confidently with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Organised and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within manufacturing, operations, or industrial sectors desirable.
  • Studying towards or qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA would be advantageous.
