Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and coaching a team of three Compliance Analysts
- Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and AML regulations
- Managing the annual audit process and acting on feedback
- Handling client residual balances, developing proactive strategies, and working closely with Fee Earners
- Maintaining the COFA breaches log and delivering continuous improvements
- Reviewing and improving finance processes and internal controls
- Leading internal file audits and supporting financial compliance
- Managing the financial aspects of the file closure process
- Keeping client bank account records up to date and overseeing bank mandate changes
- Closing any legacy accounts efficiently
- Supporting the development of financial reports for management
- Addressing fee earner queries and collaborating with other departments
- Travelling to other office locations as needed
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience in financial compliance or legal finance roles
- Proven ability to develop and lead a small team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and financial accuracy
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work well under pressure
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
