Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and coaching a team of three Compliance Analysts
• Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and AML regulations
• Managing the annual audit process and acting on feedback
• Handling client residual balances, developing proactive strategies, and working closely with Fee Earners
• Maintaining the COFA breaches log and delivering continuous improvements
• Reviewing and improving finance processes and internal controls
• Leading internal file audits and supporting financial compliance
• Managing the financial aspects of the file closure process
• Keeping client bank account records up to date and overseeing bank mandate changes
• Closing any legacy accounts efficiently
• Supporting the development of financial reports for management
• Addressing fee earner queries and collaborating with other departments
• Travelling to other office locations as needed

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Experience in financial compliance or legal finance roles
• Proven ability to develop and lead a small team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and financial accuracy
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work well under pressure
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
