We’re seeking an organised and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role plays an integral part in supporting the smooth running of finance operations. You’ll assist senior finance personnel with ad hoc projects and provide cover for team members when required, helping ensure all financial processes run efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily cash reconciliation, update cashflow reports, and submit weekly forecasts.

• Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and project transfers.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly cut-off testing.

• Produce monthly cost reports and analyse spend against budgets, discussing variances with stakeholders.

• Generate weekly utilisation reports and work with the Finance Business Partner to monitor trends.

• Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and capex reporting.

• Support year-end and half-year audits, assisting with statutory accounts preparation.

• Provide support to both the Sales and Purchase Ledger teams as needed.

• Assist with ad hoc financial tasks and projects during busy periods.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in accounting within a project-based or professional services environment.

• Ideally part-qualified and working towards completing a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or similar).

• Excellent Excel skills and experience using accounting software.

• Strong organisational and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.

• Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
