Key Responsibilities:
- Make and use cutting patterns/templates for different upholstery materials
- Operate sewing machines to assemble fabric components
- Use hand tools such as pneumatic staplers, cutting knives, scissors, and screw guns
- Interpret and work from work orders and approved drawings
- Work independently and support the wider team as needed
- Maintain accurate paperwork and production records
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Upholster wooden furniture to a high standard using a range of materials, including leather
- Accurately fit layouts according to design specifications
- Handle rolls of vinyl and leather with care and efficiency
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experienced in upholstery, with knowledge of materials and tools
- Comfortable using both manual and machine equipment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
