HR Office Manager

We are looking for a professional and motivated HR Office Manager  to lead a centralised People Services team within a busy and evolving business environment. This role is ideal for someone who combines leadership experience with excellent organisational skills, strong communication, and a passion for continuous improvement.

A little bit about the role

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the People Services team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support

  • Oversee service delivery to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high standards across all administrative tasks and projects

  • Produce and present reports and insights to key stakeholders, supporting decision-making and strategic planning

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and tools

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and Business Services

  • Manage shared inboxes, calendars, and workloads to ensure effective prioritisation and timely completion of key tasks

  • Support people-related projects such as onboarding, engagement, policy updates, and acquisitions

  • Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion, maintaining compliance with data protection standards

Getting to Know You

  • Proven leadership experience within an administrative or shared services environment (ideally HR or People Services)

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle and related HR processes

  • Professional and confident communicator, able to liaise effectively at all levels

  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and innovative approach to improving services and processes

  • High attention to detail with strong proofing and data management skills

  • Team-focused with a collaborative, supportive approach to colleagues

  • Flexible and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection

  • Confident using Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel) and HR systems

  • CIPD qualified (Chartered or equivalent by experience) preferred
