The Opportunity

An established and growing technical solutions business is seeking an Account Manager to join its commercial team in Winsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys developing existing customer accounts and identifying opportunities for growth within an established client base.

This role is centred around account management and customer development rather than new business generation. You will be responsible for nurturing long-term customer relationships, increasing account value, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through cross-selling and upselling products and services.
  • Conduct regular customer reviews to understand business needs and future requirements.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on commercial opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using CRM systems.
  • Monitor account performance and develop strategies to maximise customer retention and growth.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and provide a high level of commercial support.
  • Produce regular account updates and sales forecasts for management.

About You

  • Previous experience in an Account Manager, Internal Sales, Customer Success, or similar customer-facing commercial role.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop existing customer accounts.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience within a technical, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or B2B environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
