Are you a reliable, detail-focused Loader looking for a hands-on warehouse role with the chance to go permanent? Appointments Personnel is recruiting for a Loader in Stoke-on-Trent to join a staircase manufacturer on a temp-to-perm basis. If you have warehouse, loading dock, despatch or manufacturing experience and enjoy practical, physical work, this could be a great fit.

The Role
As a Loader, you'll make sure staircase components are loaded onto delivery vans safely, accurately and in the right order for each delivery route. It's an active role where careful loading keeps deliveries on schedule and customers' orders complete, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Load the correct staircase components onto delivery vans, organised to suit the delivery route.
• Keep every van within its permitted weight limit.
• Secure loads with the equipment provided so nothing shifts in transit.
• Follow safe manual handling guidance and wear the correct PPE at all times.
• Keep your work area clean and tidy in line with 5S standards.
• Report any warning lights or vehicle issues before loading.
• Occasionally move vans around the site.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Loader role, you'll ideally have:

• A valid full UK driving licence (needed for occasional van moves on site).
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• The ability to follow instructions and safety procedures carefully.
• Comfort working in a physically active environment, including some time outdoors in all weather during loading and unloading.
• Previous warehouse, loading or manufacturing experience (helpful, but not essential).

Working Hours and Location

• Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm.
• Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• Full-time, 44.5 hours per week.
• On-site in Stoke-on-Trent, working in the warehouse and loading dock area.
