Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out routine maintenance work and planned TPM on all equipment
• Respond promptly to equipment failures, diagnosing and repairing faults
• Conduct breakdown repairs on complex machinery and ancillary systems
• Fit new parts, ensuring equipment is safe, efficient, and compliant
• Maintain accurate engineering records and present them in a timely manner
• Recommend design modifications to improve reliability and reduce downtime
• Liaise with suppliers, engineering colleagues, and production teams
• Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
• Deal with emergencies and unplanned problems as they arise
• Always adhere to Health & Safety policies and promote safe working practices
Ideal Candidate:
• Proven experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance within a manufacturing setting
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A proactive and “can-do” attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement
• People management skills are an advantage
