An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation in Stoke-on-Trent, playing a key role within its central finance function. This role covers management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control, and would suit a confident finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders across a business.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you'll work closely with the Finance Director, senior managers and budget holders, providing accurate financial information, analysis and advice to support effective decision-making, financial planning and ongoing financial performance. It's a varied role with genuine exposure to stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate management accounts and financial reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
• Monitor budgets and expenditure, identifying variances and areas requiring attention.
• Work closely with budget holders to provide financial guidance and support.
• Provide clear financial information and analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Support effective financial controls and ensure financial processes are followed.
• Assist with financial planning and the ongoing monitoring of organisational performance.
• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.
• Support the Finance Director with wider finance projects and requirements.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this Management Accountant role, you'll ideally have:

• Strong management accounting experience.
• Experience of budgeting and forecasting.
• The ability to analyse financial information and present findings clearly.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and budget holders.
• Strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.
