Management Accountant

Location: Stoke on Trent
Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm
Contract: 7-month fixed term
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum DOE

Are you a Management Accountant looking for your next contract role? This 7-month opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a real impact within a supportive finance team.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. You’ll be trusted to deliver high-quality work across a range of responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing month-end accounts, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring integrity of financial data
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting compliance requirements
• Producing ad hoc management reports for senior leadership
• Supporting stock, intercompany, and bank reconciliations
• Assisting with additional tasks to cover holidays or sickness when required

About you

We’re looking for a qualified accountant who can hit the ground running and bring both technical skills and a proactive mindset.

You’ll ideally have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Experience in a similar role
• Multi currency knowledge 
• Strong Excel skills, with good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and a self-motivated approach
