Appointments Personnel is recruiting for a Marketing Assistant in Stoke-on-Trent to join a busy marketing function within a growing manufacturing business. If you have experience in social media, copywriting, content creation, video and email marketing, this could be a great next step.

The Role
As a Marketing Assistant, you'll support the Marketing Manager across two brands, with your main focus on social media. It's a fast-paced, varied role where you'll create fresh, relevant content, grow the brands' online presence and make sure the sales team has what they need to win business.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, create and publish social media content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other channels, including plenty of video.
• Come up with new, engaging content ideas that keep the brands' channels fresh and relevant.
• Write blog articles and other copy to support SEO and brand awareness.
• Manage the social inboxes, responding to questions, comments and messages promptly.
• Build, send and manage email marketing campaigns.
• Work with content creators and influencers.
• Check and prepare sales collateral every quarter so the external sales team is fully equipped when they're out on the road.
• Work across both brands, supporting the wider marketing calendar as needed.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Marketing Assistant role, you'll ideally have:

• Proven experience in a marketing, digital marketing or social media role.
• Strong copywriting skills, including blog writing.
• Hands-on experience creating and editing video and visual content, using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience managing social channels and scheduling tools, including TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
• Experience with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar.
• A creative approach, backed by the ability to review results and improve what you do.
• Excellent organisation and the drive to keep multiple projects moving in a busy environment.
• Previous brand experience, which would be beneficial.

• Salary of up to £30,000 per year, depending on experience.

Working Hours and Location

• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.
