  • Sunday: 11:00pm–6:00am
  • Monday–Thursday: 10:00pm–6:00am

Salary:  £16.52 depending on shift pattern  

We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Machine Operative to join a busy manufacturing team in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC operator looking for a long-term role, with the potential to become permanent following a successful temporary period.

  The Role

As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for operating CNC profile burning machinery, including gas and plasma cutting equipment, while ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC profile burning machinery, including gas and plasma cutting equipment
  • Safely operate forklift trucks and overhead cranes where required
  • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards
  • Carry out daily machine checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the production area
  • Work closely with colleagues and communicate effectively with supervisors
  • Identify and report production or quality issues promptly
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process improvements
  • Provide flexibility to support shift cover during holidays and staff absence


About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment
  • A valid FLT licence, ideally Counterbalance
  • Previous overhead crane experience would be advantageous
  • A good understanding of health & safety within an industrial environment
  • Basic IT skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A reliable, proactive and hardworking approach
  • A strong commitment to producing high-quality work
