Working closely with customers, warehouses, transport providers, and internal teams, you'll help keep operations running smoothly while making a real difference to the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
As an Order Processor, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is complete.
- Reviewing order details and ensuring any special requirements are communicated correctly.
- Providing accurate information internally regarding customer accounts and credit limits.
- Inputting order details onto internal systems and external haulage and logistics portals.
- Coordinating with warehouses, transport providers, and other external partners to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitoring order progress and providing updates to customers.
- Responding to customer enquiries and offering professional support.
- Investigating and resolving order-related queries and issues.
- Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting inventory management.
- Ensuring all administration is completed accurately and within required timescales.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful Order Processor will have:
- Previous experience in office administration, order processing, and transport coordination.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and proofreading abilities.
- Confidence using computer systems, ideally including Sage software.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
