Production Operative

We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Production Associate to join a busy manufacturing team and support the assembly and production of high-quality engineered products. This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing background who enjoys precision work, understands engineering drawings, and takes pride in producing finished goods to exacting standards.

A little bit about the role

  • Manufacture and assemble engineering components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods within the production department.

  • Machine fine-tolerance, high-quality finished products using a lathe.

  • Build finished goods in line with work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions accurately.

  • Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet strict specifications.

  • Follow all Health & Safety and quality procedures at all times.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues as they arise.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes and the production area.

  • Undertake additional duties as required to meet business needs.

Essential:

  • Previous experience machining fine-tolerance products.

  • Experience using handheld tools within a manufacturing environment.

  • Computer literate.

  • Ability to work to a consistently high-quality standard.

  • Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination.

  • Flexible approach and positive team-working attitude.

  • Manufacturing background with lathe experience preferred.

  • Knowledge gained through an apprenticeship or recognised training body advantageous.
