Production Operative

Production Operative – Newcastle-under-Lyme
Full-time | Monday to Friday
Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am–12:00pm

We are currently seeking a Production Operative to join a growing and well-established technical manufacturing team based in Staffordshire. This role would suit someone who enjoys working to high standards, following detailed processes, and contributing to the production of high-quality bespoke products.

The role

As a Production Operative, you will be an important part of their manufacturing process, working in line with customer specifications and internal quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cutting and stripping wires
  • Crimping and soldering components
  • Reading and working from schematic diagrams and customer drawings
  • Applying heat shrink and adhesives
  • Recording work progress accurately using our system (Progress Plus)
  • Following internal quality procedures, including IPC/WHMA-620 Class 3 standards
  • Supporting other areas of production when required

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working to IPC/WHMA-620 Class 3 standards (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Ability to follow technical drawings, instructions, and processes
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive approach and willingness to learn new skills
  • Openness to feedback and contributing to continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to assist with a variety of production tasks
