Are you an experienced finance professional with a solid background in transactional work? We’re looking for a reliable and detail-driven Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a stable, close-knit team in Stoke-on-Trent.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the rhythm of purchase ledger tasks but wants to be involved in more than just processing invoices. You’ll work closely with a newly appointed Management Accountant and play a key part in keeping the finance function running smoothly.

Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the purchase ledger function with accurate data entry
- Assisting with invoice matching, coding and approvals
- Managing supplier records and responding to supplier queries
- Reconciling statements and following up on discrepancies
- Handling administrative finance tasks and ad hoc duties as needed
- Liaising with internal departments to support the wider finance function
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a transactional finance or purchase ledger role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
- Solid work history with a focus on reliability and consistency
- Good knowledge of finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the team
