What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading investigations into non-conformances, getting to the root cause, and driving effective solutions.
  • Spotting trends, analysing data, and creating action plans to prevent future issues.
  • Designing and rolling out improvement plans to boost efficiency, elevate quality standards, and refine product specifications.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers, conducting risk-based audits, and ensuring high performance through data-driven insights.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers to enhance product quality and support corrective action strategies.
  • Travelling for supplier visits across the UK and Europe to ensure compliance and forge strong partnerships.
  • Taking charge of supplier due diligence risk assessments and internal audit plans, aligned with key business accreditations like ISO9001, ISO14001, Certifire, FSC, and PEFC.
  • Staying ahead of industry regulations, ensuring compliance with European Timber Regulations, and providing expert advice on legislative changes.
  • Managing technical documentation, keeping product drawings, specifications, and SOPs up to date and accurate.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A background in technically oriented supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of FSC & PEFC chain of custody standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • An auditor qualification is a bonus.
