Sales Administrator

We are seeking a reliable and organised Sales Administrator to provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer orders, handling enquiries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth coordination between departments. This role is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processes sales orders accurately and within required timescales.
  • Ensures customer order details are entered correctly and updated in internal systems.
  • Handles customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provides customers with updates regarding orders, delivery times, and product information.
  • Coordinates with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
  • Liaises with warehouse, logistics, finance, and sales teams regarding order progress.
  • Maintains accurate customer records, order documentation, and filing systems.
  • Assists the sales team with quotations, reports, and administrative tasks.
  • Supports invoice queries, delivery issues, and general customer requests.
  • Monitors shared inboxes and responds or escalates enquiries as appropriate.
  • Ensures all administration is completed accurately and in line with company procedures.
  • Provides general office and administrative support as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, sales support, or customer service role preferred.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using CRM or order processing systems.
  • Background in a sales office, distribution, or customer operations environment.
  • Experience handling customer orders and delivery coordination.
