Key responsibilities

In this role, you’ll enjoy variety and responsibility, including:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of businesses (limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders)
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of audits across multiple sectors
  • Producing management accounts and VAT returns
  • Acting as a first point of contact for client queries, ensuring strong relationships and excellent service
  • Assisting senior colleagues with ad-hoc assignments and projects
  • Guiding and supporting junior team members in their development
  • Making sure all work complies with professional standards and deadlines

What we’re looking for

This position would suit someone who is motivated, confident, and ready to progress in their accountancy career. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in an accountancy practice
  • ACA/ACCA part-qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Strong knowledge of year-end accounts preparation and audit procedures
  • Experience with VAT returns and management accounts
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
