SolidWorks CAD Technician
Location: Stoke on Trent  
Working pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday 
Salary: Up to £35k per annum DOE
Sector: Design and Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD 
• Create design concepts and visuals to support the sales process 
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and ensure precision across all stages 
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery 
• Assist with the setup and programming of CNC files for production 
• Provide technical input and problem-solving support throughout the design process 

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience within design, joinery, architecture, or a related manufacturing environment 
• Confident presenting and communicating design ideas to clients and colleagues 
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail 
• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ideally SketchUp (Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus) 
• Able to interpret architectural and technical drawings 
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects 
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
