If you enjoy practical work, being part of a supportive team, and keeping things organised behind the scenes, this Stores Assistant opportunity could be a great fit for you.

This Stores Assistant role offers the chance to join a fast-moving stores environment where no two days are the same. You’ll play an important part in ensuring stock is received, stored, and dispatched accurately while supporting the wider team with day-to-day warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Stores Assistant, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Receiving deliveries and ensuring goods are unpacked and stored safely
  • Picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch
  • Ensuring outgoing goods are packaged securely and sent out on time
  • Distributing materials and components to designated areas when required
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and organised workspaces within the stores area
  • Following all health and safety procedures and company policies
  • Supporting the wider team with general warehouse duties when needed
  • Remaining flexible to help meet the needs of the business

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful Stores Assistant will bring a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a busy team environment.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or similar environment (preferred)
  • The ability to lift and move heavier items as part of a physically active role
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • A flexible approach and willingness to support the team where required
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A proactive mindset with a “can-do” attitude

Additional experience that would be beneficial:

  • Counterbalance or reach truck licence
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience using warehouse management systems or handheld scanners
