Stores Assistant

Full-time | Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
£12.71 per hour 

Due to an internal promotion, our client is looking for a Stores Assistant to join a busy and friendly warehouse team in Woore. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a similar stores or warehouse role who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in being organised, and understands the importance of health and safety in a warehouse environment.

Please note, this role can be physically demanding due to the types of products manufactured on site.

What you’ll be doing as a Stores Assistant:

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the stores and warehouse
• Receiving, checking and putting away stock and materials
• Picking and preparing products for production or dispatch
• Using WMS systems and handheld scanning devices
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory
• Loading and unloading goods safely
• Ensuring the warehouse and stores areas are kept clean, tidy and organised
• Following company procedures and maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Working closely with colleagues across the warehouse and wider business
• Carrying out other general stores and warehouse duties as required

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar stores, warehouse or manufacturing/distribution role
• A reliable, self-motivated and methodical approach to work
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A strong team player with a positive attitude
• Good awareness of health and safety within a warehouse environment
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding role
• Experience using WMS systems and handheld scanners is desirable
• Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck certification is highly desirable

Please note: Due to the location in Woore, candidates will need to have their own transport as the site is not accessible by public transport.

Candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check. The company operates a zero-tolerance approach to alcohol and drug misuse, with random testing carried out. Candidates should make us aware in advance of any DBS disclosures.
