Stores Person FLT

Are you an experienced warehouse or stores professional with a valid FLT licence and a hands-on approach to work? We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Stores / FLT Operative to join a busy and well-established manufacturing/logistics environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced role, working as part of a team, and keeping operations running smoothly.

This role would suit someone with previous experience in warehouse, stores, or distribution environments who is confident operating forklift trucks and handling goods in/out processes accurately and safely.

A little bit about the role:

  • Receive, check, and book in deliveries accurately against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Safely operate Counterbalance / Reach FLT (as applicable) to move, load, and unload materials.
  • Pick and issue materials to production or dispatch areas in line with requirements.
  • Ensure stock is stored correctly, safely, and in designated locations.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and assist with cycle counting and stock accuracy.
  • Prepare goods for dispatch, including labelling, packing, and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stores/warehouse environment.
  • Support internal departments by ensuring materials are available when required.
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and site operating standards at all times.
  • Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or issues to the relevant supervisor.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Valid FLT Counterbalance (and/or Reach) licence is essential.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
  • Confident in manual handling and working in a physically active role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Able to follow instructions and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable.
