Are you technically minded with a passion for solving engineering challenges and working directly with clients? This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join a specialist team as a Technical Sales Engineer, supporting customers across construction, utilities, distribution, and industrial processing sectors.

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering tailored, cost-effective solutions for fluid handling applications, including foul water, grey water, effluents, irrigation, and pressurisation systems. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with customer interaction and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer:

  • Provide technical sales support throughout the full sales process
  • Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and prepare detailed quotations and tenders
  • Act as a Technical Sales Engineer by advising clients on tailored engineering solutions
  • Understand customer requirements and provide fit-for-purpose technical recommendations
  • Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships
  • Support repeat business through excellent service and account management
  • Research competitor activity and monitor industry trends
  • Report on sales activity and performance to management
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams
  • Provide feedback to support product improvement and increase sales opportunities

About You – Ideal Technical Sales Engineer:

  • Experience in a similar Technical Sales Engineer or engineering-based sales role
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Comfortable using CRM systems
  • Able to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset
  • Good standard of English and Maths
