Warehouse Operative and FLT in Winsford

The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll keep the warehouse running smoothly day to day, making sure stock is received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately while maintaining a safe, organised workspace. You'll work closely with supervisors and colleagues to get customer orders out efficiently. It's a hands-on role with a supportive team and room to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, check and store incoming deliveries, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately for dispatch or collection.
• Load and unload lorries and containers, using forklift trucks where required.
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts and inventory controls to keep stock accurate.
• Update warehouse systems and maintain accurate stock records.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and complete routine equipment checks.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve warehouse processes and support continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Warehouse Operative role, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Experience of stock control and inventory management.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel preferred).
• Experience of warehouse management systems or inventory software.
• Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licences (preferred).
• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic approach to teamwork.
• FLT Licence

Working Hours and Location

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm (36.25 hours per week), with no evenings or weekends.
• Full-time, on-site at the warehouse in Winsford.
