Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Operative to join a busy and fast-paced distribution environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, works well within a team, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.

You will support the warehousing, order fulfilment, and logistics operations, ensuring orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with all warehousing, order fulfilment, and logistics functions within a busy distribution centre
• Unload, check, and accept deliveries into the warehouse
• Verify stock integrity and report shortages, damages, or delivery discrepancies
• Carry out the safe movement and storage of goods within the warehouse
• Accurately pick stock to fulfil customer orders
• Carefully pack orders, ensuring adequate protection and compliance with shipping regulations
• Prioritise international orders to meet courier collection deadlines
• Record consignment information accurately, including weights and dimensions, using internal and courier systems
• Prepare consignments for courier collection and dispatch
• Work closely with quality assurance processes to maintain high standards
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards throughout the warehouse
• Prepare warehouse areas and stock for the following working day
• Provide support and cover for other warehouse and logistics team members when required
• Carry out additional warehouse and logistics duties as part of the day-to-day operation

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Flexible attitude and willingness to support different areas when needed
• Commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and service
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience beneficial but not essential
• FLT or driving experience advantageous

• Maintain high levels of order picking accuracy
• Ensure stock accuracy is consistently achieved
• Process and dispatch orders within agreed timeframes
• Demonstrate a flexible, professional, and team-focused approach at all times
