The Role
As a Yard / Warehouse Operative, you'll keep the yard and warehouse running smoothly, making sure orders are prepared, deliveries are handled and customers are looked after when they collect. It's a varied, practical role that starts on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload products safely and efficiently.
• Handle incoming deliveries and manage goods in and goods out.
• Carry out general yard, warehouse and driving duties.
• Organise and lift heavy products using safe manual handling techniques.
• Greet customers on site and prepare orders for collection.
• Work with colleagues and managers to meet daily deadlines.
• Follow company policies and procedures to keep the site a safe place to work.
• Maintain a professional approach at all times.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Yard / Warehouse Operative role, you'll ideally have:

• Experience in a similar yard or warehouse role.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• The ability to work towards deadlines.
• Manual handling knowledge.
• The ability to work as part of a team and to use your own initiative.

Salary and Benefits

• £13.25 to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience).
• Temporary to permanent opportunity.
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.

Working Hours and Location

• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
• Full-time and on-site in Stoke-on-Trent.
