Get your CV and LinkedIn profile job ready

Each week, we run a free review clinic for jobseekers. Join the live session on Zoom for practical guidance, then have your own CV and LinkedIn profile reviewed in a one to one slot.

Run by recruiters who work with hiring employers across Staffordshire and Cheshire every week, so the feedback reflects what gets people shortlisted now.

Bring your own CV and get a proper look at it

Each week you can have your own CV and LinkedIn profile looked over by people who read them for a living, then walk away with clear, specific changes to make. It is free, there is no catch, and you are welcome whether your CV is polished or barely started.

Advice from the people who actually do the hiring

A lot of CV advice comes from somewhere far away from the room where hiring decisions get made.

The Appointments Personnel team is in that room every day, matching people to roles and seeing which CVs earn a second look and which get passed over.

So when they suggest a change, it is grounded in what employers are responding to right now.

From guessing in the dark to knowing exactly what to fix

Right now you might be tweaking a word here and there, sending the same CV out again and hoping this time is different. That guesswork is exhausting, and it rarely tells you anything.

After an hour at the clinic the picture changes. You will understand how a recruiter reads your CV in the first few seconds, why some profiles pull the right roles towards them, and which one or two changes will make the biggest difference to you.

The waiting feels very different once you know what you are waiting on.

FAQs

A few things people usually want to know before they come along. If your question is not covered here, send us a message at contact@appointmentspersonnel.co.uk and we will happily answer it.

  • Is it really free?

Yes, completely. There is no charge to attend and nothing to buy afterwards. A stronger CV makes it easier for our team to put you forward to the employers we work with, so it works out well on both sides.

  • Do I need a finished CV to come along?

No. Come along even if your CV is half done or you are starting from scratch. Knowing what to build towards is often the most useful place to begin, and you can shape it from there.

  • Will my own CV actually get reviewed, or is it general advice?

Both. The session opens with practical guidance everyone can use, then a limited number of one-to-one slots are set aside each week for people who want their own CV and LinkedIn looked at in detail. Those slots tend to go quickly, so it is worth registering early.

  • Do I need to be registered with Appointments Personnel already?

No. The clinic is open to anyone who would find it useful, including friends or family you think could do with a hand. You do not need to be on our books to join.
